Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about 3D Model Unity — file formats, software compatibility, licenses, credit packages, downloads, refunds and account management.

What file formats are available?

3D Model Unity models are built in NURBS in Rhinoceros 3D and are available in 3DM (native Rhino), FBX, OBJ and renderer-specific formats including KeyShot, V-Ray and Corona Renderer. The exact formats included for each product are listed on the product page.

Which software are the models compatible with?

Native files are designed for Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino 7 or later). Exported formats (FBX, OBJ, 3DM) are compatible with 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, KeyShot, V-Ray and Corona Renderer.

Are the models NURBS or mesh?

Most 3DM models are NURBS, suitable for high-precision archviz and product visualization. A subset of products is provided in mesh format. Each product page indicates the native format.

Do I need a subscription to download?

No subscription is required. 3D Model Unity uses a credit-based system: you purchase a credit package, and each model in the catalog has a credit cost. Once you have credits in your account, you can redeem them against any product. See Choose your plan for the available packages.

How are models delivered?

All models are delivered by instant digital download. After a successful payment, the model is immediately available in your account download area.

What kind of license do I get?

3DM offers a Standard License for most products and an Editorial License for selected branded products that require attribution restrictions. Full terms are described in the Licenses page.

Can I use the models for commercial archviz projects?

Yes, the Standard License allows commercial use of the models within client visualization projects (renders, animations, immersive content). Resale, redistribution or use of the geometry itself in third-party libraries is not allowed.

Can I get a refund?

Due to the digital nature of the products, all sales are final once the download has been initiated. Refunds are considered for technical issues with the file (corrupted download, missing geometry, broken texture references). See Refund Policy for details.

Are the dimensions of the models accurate?

For products marked as Real Product, dimensions match the real manufactured product specifications as published by the brand. For generic catalog models, dimensions are coherent with typical product proportions but should be verified against project requirements.

Do you accept submissions from designers?

Yes, 3DM welcomes contributions from independent 3D designers. See 3D Assets Authors and Collaborate with 3D Model Unity for details.

Is there a free trial or free models?

3DM occasionally offers free models that can be downloaded using free credits. Free products are clearly marked in the catalog.
