Jasper Morrison is a British industrial designer born in London in 1959, founder of Jasper Morrison Office for Design in 1986. After training at the Royal College of Art he developed a quiet, essentialist approach to product design that has become a defining language of contemporary European design — articulated together with Naoto Fukasawa as the "super normal" philosophy.

For Magis he designed the Air Chair (1999), one of the first chairs produced via gas-injection moulding, alongside collaborations with Vitra, Cappellini, Alessi, Flos and Muji. Magis is the Italian furniture brand founded in 1976 in Motta di Livenza, Veneto, by Eugenio Perazza, recognised internationally as a benchmark of contemporary industrial design and known for collaborations with Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Marcel Wanders, Jaime Hayón and Stefano Giovannoni.

The brand pioneered new uses of injection-moulded plastics, rotational moulding and aluminium die-casting in design furniture, producing icons including the Air Chair by Jasper Morrison, the Chair_One and Brut series by Konstantin Grcic, and the Bombo stool by Stefano Giovannoni. Magis also operates Me Too, a dedicated children's collection. Production is centred in north-east Italy.
