Ross Lovegrove is a Welsh industrial designer born in Cardiff in 1958, recognised as one of the leading figures of organic, biomorphic product design. After early collaborations with Frog Design (Sony Walkman) and Knoll (Alessandri Office System), he founded his London studio in 1990.His work blends biology, advanced manufacturing and material innovation, with pieces in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Centre Pompidou and the Design Museum London. For Artemide he designed the Mercury suspension and the New Natural floor lamp.
