Zebra Technologies is an American technology company founded in 1969 in Lincolnshire, Illinois, originally incorporated as Data Specialties Incorporated and renamed Zebra Technologies Corporation in 1986, the year it released its first thermal transfer printer. The company has been listed on NASDAQ since its IPO in 1991.
