Marcel Wanders is a Dutch designer born in Boxtel in 1963, founder of Marcel Wanders Studio in 1995 and co-founder of Moooi. He came to international attention with the Knotted Chair (1996) for Cappellini, produced by knotting carbon and aramid fibres dipped in epoxy resin, now in the permanent collection of MoMA New York.
