Marco Zanuso
Marco Zanuso (1916–2001) was an Italian architect and industrial designer based in Milan, a pioneer of Italian post-war modernism. His Lady armchair (1951) won the gold medal at the IX Triennale di Milano and helped establish the use of foam rubber and tubular steel in upholstered furniture, defining a new language for Italian residential seating.
He collaborated with Arflex, Brionvega, Kartell and Cassina, and taught at the Politecnico di Milano. The 3D Model Unity catalog includes high-precision NURBS 3D models of Zanuso pieces re-edited by Cassina, including the Lady armchair and sofa, available for Rhinoceros 3D.
Cassina
Cassina is the Italian furniture brand founded in 1927 in Meda, Brianza, known for the I Maestri collection — licensed reissues of iconic furniture designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, Gerrit Rietveld, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and other twentieth-century masters.
Founded by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina, the company is recognised for craftsmanship rooted in the Brianza district and for collaborations with contemporary designers including Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Mario Bellini and Vico Magistretti. Each piece is produced in Italy with techniques that blend industrial precision and traditional joinery, and Cassina holds the official rights to re-edit historical archive designs.
The 3D Model Unity catalog of Cassina includes high-precision NURBS 3D models for Rhinoceros 3D — sofas, armchairs, chaise longues, tables, bookcases and chairs — covering both the I Maestri historical reissues and contemporary collections. Suitable for residential archviz, contract interior CGI and post-modern furniture visualization.
