Thomas Heatherwick

Thomas Heatherwick is a British designer and architect born in London in 1970, founder of Heatherwick Studio in 1994. His practice spans architecture, sculpture, furniture, transportation and public realm, with projects including the UK Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010, the Vessel in New York and the new Routemaster bus for London.His Spun chair (2007) for Magis, manufactured from rotationally moulded plastic in a single rotational form, is a contemporary classic of design furniture.
