Ron Arad is an Israeli-British architect and industrial designer born in Tel Aviv in 1951, founder of Ron Arad Associates in London in 1989. Trained at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, he came to attention in the 1980s with the Rover Chair and the Well Tempered Chair and has since developed an experimental practice across furniture, lighting, architecture and exhibitions.His Voido rocking chair for Magis is a contemporary classic of rotational moulding. He has also collaborated with Vitra, Kartell, Moroso, Driade, Cassina and Established & Sons.
