Marc Newson is an Australian industrial designer born in Sydney in 1963, based in London. After early recognition with the Lockheed Lounge (1986), now in the permanent collection of MoMA, he developed a practice spanning furniture, transportation, aerospace and consumer products.His collaborations include Apple (alongside Jony Ive), Qantas, Louis Vuitton, Cappellini, Magis, Ford, B&B Italia, Riva and Hennessey. He has been awarded the Compasso d'Oro and the Royal Designer for Industry honour by the Royal Society of Arts.
