Gio Ponti
Gio Ponti (1891–1979) was an Italian architect, designer, founder of Domus magazine and one of the central figures of twentieth-century Italian design. His prolific output spans architecture (the Pirelli Tower in Milan), furniture, ceramics, lighting and industrial products across more than five decades.The Superleggera chair (1957) for Cassina, weighing only 1.7 kg, remains one of the lightest and most refined wooden chairs ever produced.
