Enzo Mari (1932–2020) was an Italian designer, artist and educator born in Cerano (Novara), recognised as one of the most influential figures of post-war Italian design and design culture. His prolific output spans furniture, graphic design, art and design pedagogy, and he received four Compasso d'Oro awards over his career.His self-production manual "Autoprogettazione" (1974) reframed the relationship between maker and consumer.
